Do schools know which schools you've applied to?

Just curious. I know some schools will ask this during the supplement, but is there any way for them to know pre-supplement or if the supplement does not ask this info?

Does it even matter? Schools know that the vast majority of students apply to multiple schools, usually 8+ (14 for me). Not sure how it could possibly alter your chances at any school.

I only see them doing something like that if they really want to you. If you are a regular applicant, then no.
