On the AACOMAS do you have to include all mcat exams taken in the past or just the most recent? Do the schools count the most recent? highest? average?

Yes you have to tell them all the scores. And every school is different. Some look at highest, some at average, some at most recent, some highest subsection, etc. Just gotta hope.

Just to piggyback off this question, if you're signed up for an MCAT later on but you feel your scores adequate for DO, is it wrong to not report the future exam? Or do they not care?

I've looked around SDN but most answers are pretty vague about this.

Average would suck... I took it in 2006 and got a 20... 2013 I relearned all the information (on my own), studied my butt off and I got a 27... not the best but huge improvement... and 2006 was a whole lifetime ago... I am surprised that I had to include my 2006 score on my AMCAS and ACOMAS application... the actual score just seems so irrelevant to me as it was so long ago and I am a different person now...

I probably will retake in July... I hope I get a 34+ 🙂 I am studying hardcore after I submit my applications.... 🙂

Just curious, without the potential MCAT in July... with a 3.78 with a biochemistry major and psychology minor... what do you think my chances are?

I've never heard of a school that takes the average...😎

I'd err on the side of caution and expect to have to report all your scores. But yeah, I've wondered that too.

None.

No chance.

You guys are mean. tiny, you have a decent chance at schools that look at your highest. Just don't claim that you "studied your butt off" and got a 27. That's like saying you studied your butt off and got a C when other people got A's.

It's not being mean, when they are either 1) Obviously know they have stats better than most people, or 2) are oblivious and need to learn a thing or two about searching stats

And 27 is a decent score, its not a "C" as you claim. Different people have different strengths, so while a 27 may not be good for some people, it could be an unexpected surprise(good way) for others.
