Hey guys, i am a 2nd year ... things are going ok. until now. People told me to start in january but thats never been my style so here i am buggin out (to say the least) but lets get down to it. I considered taking both the USMLE and COMLEX but i tried a uworld section and got in the 30%s. People said you need to get in the 60-70% and I am taking my exam on June 22. Whether its possible to boost it up that much I dont know but as of now i may jus turn my focus onto comlex. anyway lets get down to it.

I pretty much started a week ago. I am using DIT as a review so im going thru the videos so I can get a first run through of First Aid (if i try to read it myself i will get nowhere) DIT does a decent job explaining the stuff that is jus simply listed in First AID (2012), in adjunct im using Pathoma(which I am a big fan of at the moment) and BRS physio. I also just ordered Combank (1700 q) and i have to finish Considering I have less than 90 days to prepare... I was hoping some of you guys may have some input into what I could/should do and what not to do at this point.... It seems impossible now but people have done it before me. i also ordered Lippincotts Microflash cards by Harvapat and LAnges Pharm flash cards so im bankin on those for Micro/Pharm and Savereses green book for all the OMT.

any input on my situation would be great. First time SDN poster, would appreciate the input!!

60-70% on UW should get you a pretty decent score on USMLE. You can search on here to get a correlation between UW percentage and USMLE score (or COMLEX). You should aim for at least 50% on UW if you are going to stick with that qbank

Questions! Questions and more questions! Combank with fa is sufficient for comlex, with savarese ofcourse. What kinda score are you trying to get or better yet what specialty?? If you are gonna do usmle you better add goljan or another solid path review. Path from fa was fine for comlex.

IM (then fellowship into Pulm), PM&R, Optho (reach) are my interests currently

Jumpman you have plenty of time. Stress a little so you're motivated, but don't overwhelm yourself. Plenty of people jump up 50pts with a month of studying. Here's what I would suggest:

-First Aid as many times as possible - minimum of 2x
-Pathoma videos - amazing
-UWorld - This will be your best friend. I have learned SO MUCH from these questions...if you can do these COMBANK questions should be a walk in the park
-COMBANK
-DIT for a quick run through/refresher
-NMBE 7/11 and/or COMSAE B/C after your first run through of the material to see where you stand and where you are weak.

Limit your resources. If you had 6 months to study then I'd say hit some other high yield sources, but with 3 months the resources above should be perfect IMO. Just put in the hours and you'll be fine.

+1 on this. I had 11 weeks to study before the test, and this is essentially what I'm doing. I'm about 6 weeks into it and I've seen amazing results in terms of practice test scores.
