My AMCAS had 5 semesters of grades. My premed counselor said that was fine. In my sixth semester, my GPA remained the same, but I got an incomplete in my gymn class. This semester, I'm taking another gymn class, which I'm going to get an incomplete in again. So I'm wondering whether I should postpone taking this class until next semester. (I have to have 2 gymn classes to graduate)
Why would I get an incomplete? My school has this "swim requirement", for which you have to swim across an olympic sized pool three times. Yes, I know you're laughing hysterically, but I'm serious. For the longest time, I thought it was some kind of joke, but I spoke to the folks in the PE office, and they're quite serious about it. Anyways, I'm working on it, and I think I'll be able to do it by next Spring (my last semester). To add insult to injury, any gymn classes you pass before fulfilling the swim test are marked as incomplete on your transcript. The incomplete is removed once you pass the swim test.
I don't want colleges seeing two, or even one incompletes on my transcript though. Do AMCAS med schools ask for transcripts at any point? If so, when?
