Do tons of research and 2 publications help out with getting into MD programs?

Given that all other areas of my AMCAS are good and LORs are really good, do 3-4 years of research and 2 publications (1 Chemistry-first author, 1 Neuroscience-co-author) look great in front of an MD only adcom?

I can see how this could be a stupid question, but I am an MD/PhD applicant and am wandering just in case I dont get into the dual program.

sorry maybe I misunderstood you..but having a lot of research experience is definitely a big plus, no matter it's MD/PhD or MD..a lot of MD applicants
