I am a DO student who has been struggling COMLEX while I did okay on USMLE. Therefore I applied to MD residencies only with releasing USMLE only. Thankfully, I am getting interviews. I have not taken COMLEX PE(physical exam) yet(scheduled for december 3rd trying to do ASAP). I have not taken USMLE CS(clinical skill). I am aware that as DO, you do not have to take USMLE CS. But, I do not want to show my poor COMLEX exam records even after I got into residency. Should I take USMLE CS to hide all my COMLEX exam scores?

No everything gets released together there is no cherry picking, and I think you have to release your COMLEX scores. MD programs know that you need to pass the COMLEX to graduate so they are going to want to see that you passed and will graduate.

I agree that releasing your transcript is an all or nothing item.

It's possible that your residency program will never see your COMLEX scores. It's going to depend by program, but once you match much of your paperwork will be driven by the GME office. Depending on the state involved, you may need a training license. If so, then you'll send your COMLEX scores directlt to the BOM to get your training license. So, it all depends on whether your program actually asks for your scores, or not.

Also, if you do take all three steps of the USMLE, you might be able to just send those in.

But, as mentioned, most DO schools require passing all of the COMLEX steps, so you'll need to take and pass them.

Last, remember that the match is binding on everyone. If you match somewhere, and then they see your COMLEX scores and are "unhappy", that's all that happens. They can't withdraw your match.
