Do upper level bio courses count towards bio prerequisites for the majority of dental schools?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Some schools will accept AP credits for some pre requisites. Check their websites to make sure. I believe inorganic chemistry just applies to general chem if you’re talking about the chemistry prerequisite. You could again reach out to schools and ask to clarify. Otherwise you can use the Achem and Pchem coursework as upper division coursework

You'd have to check what your registrar gave you credit for regarding "introductory biology." Some schools will credit you for the non-major course. That said, so long as you aren't in trouble with your degree audit, schools will look at your upper-level biology grades to see if you could get that "introductory biology" requirement waived. But again, that is an individual program decision.

Inorganic chemistry usually refers to just general introductory chemistry, but if you happen to take p-chem, that helps. Same case-by-case ruling by program on this situation.

Thanks to all the replies. I have also spoke with my pre-health advisor and he told me from his experience, I should be fine with the dental school prerequisites for the schools I'm planning on applying to.
