Do you guy think I can land an interview with my stats?

Here are my stats.

Asian.
sGPA: 3.4 (got 1 F, the rest are Bs and As).
cGPA: I really don't know but it's not lower than my sGPA for sure.

DAT: TS: 20. AA: 19, PAT: 20

Bio: 18
GC: 21
OG: 21
RC: 14 (I know. Ill have to retake because of this crap. I am an ESL. Its so hard to improve RC skill :sigh:
QR: 19
PAT: 20


My ECs:

_Got a Bioinformatic research award then got hired at the same research center. Currently working in this research center on HIV and i also have another job.
_President of a Health Organization.
_Founder + President of Children And Smile Organization at my University.
_Volunteering at a Free Dental Clinic (for underprivileged population) for over a year.
_Shadowing my dentist.
_Volunteered at Mission of Mercy (dental related).

_I dont know if its worth to mention but I came from a disadvantage background...

My weakness:
_RC: of course
_CC credits: I got my A.S at a Community College: took my Chemistry, Physic, Math courses at CC. I took all of my Bio courses at a 4-year University. Its not like I have another choice. I came here when I was 21. I had to go to CC and started from the beginning.


What do you guys think? Am I fine? Retake for sure? What schools should I apply?

You prob wont get interviews cause of this. you are not fine. you must retake.

I think you need to retake it because the "14" right there is killing your stats. I come from the same background and I know how you feel about RC . Nevertheless, practice practice and keep PRACTICE until you comfortable with it. SDN has mentioned several methods in here, try them all and figure out which method suits you best. I think you're not the only one that intimidated by that RC section, even English as first language speakers in here are still intimidated by it. So hope that makes you feel a little bit better, keep you motivated and good luck with your studying 🙂

retake is your best option. Everything else is good, its just RC needs to wake up.

are you viet? if so, same here lol.

I have tried so many RC methods (on SDN, online) and none of them really work for me. I realize that the best method for me is to read the whole paragraph. Ill practice more until English becomes my 1st language 🙂 if its what it takes to get in.

hey there,

RC is the most frustrating section because it's the hardest to improve significantly. I've written this elsewhere, but I think the number one key factor to doing well in RC is increasing your reading speed/reading comprehension. If you can increasing reading speed to more than 400 wpm with reasonable comprehension, you'll have time to read the passages more than once and thus improve your chances at getting questions right, especially the search and destroy ones.
