Do you guys contact your interview hosts post decision?

And let them know what was the result? I haven't talked to any of my hosts after finding out, even if accepted, and let them know but I'm wondering if this is common.

Don't do this (unless it is to thank them after an acceptance). You should have already thanked them anyway...

Contacting a host only after hearing a waitlist (or rejection) decision could be viewed as accusatory.

Yeah I thank them of course after the stay but some are like 'oh let me know what happens' but I usually just delete their contact info after thanking them and leaving. I imagine they probably forget anyway and are busy.

4/5 told me to let them know how it turns out. They were so cool that they send be a friend request on Facebook lol. I ended up going to the one school I didn't use a host for. I contacted them and told them and received tons of praise and congratulations. I see absolutely nothing wrong with contacting them.

I have let a few of my hosts know, but not all. I didn't for my waitlist or deferral, or for a host that I didn't hang out with as much while I was there, despite being accepted. However, I did have two that I clicked with and I could really see myself at those schools, and I let them know when I was accepted. One of them told me to update her, and then the other was for an interview that was only 2 weeks prior. Both said they'd be happy to answer any questions and would love to see more for second look. So long story short I only did when I felt a connection with the person and school.
