Do you have a job?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I just started my first day as a PSA (Pharmacy Service Associate) at CVS. It seems like a promising view unto the profession, in retail at least.

I am qualified to volunteer at my University's hospital, but I have yet to find a spot in a department. I'll probably do that once school starts back up.

I'm in the website development industry for a local college. I can't afford to be a tech, unfortunately.

The natural medicine clinic would be fine, even if it's not directly related! I'd go for it.

Southern California is well-saturated right now, as many people (Including those on the big boy Pharmacy forums) have said. It's going to be a tough road down there.

One thing I see within your control is the studying abroad in September. This is an optional decision you're making, and if you weren't doing that, you might've gotten one or more of the jobs you were interviewed for.

Not saying you shoudn't go or what not, but you're not making it any easier for yourself.

do you mean socal is saturated with pharm techs or with pharmacists too? that would be terrible if the pharmacy career is saturated since thats where we are going.

and I don't even mentioned studying abroad because usually the interview stops at "oh you cant work fulltime for at least a year? no experience?" =(

oh and , how would you suggest fitting in my experience at the natural medicine clinic? I feel like since its natural, the ADCOM might not take it seriously since some people think its hocus pocus and not directly related to western medicine, which is what we mostly do as a pharmacist.
