Hi everybody!
Do you know someone with NDB1-79% ; toefl-240 and who still got a spot to advanced placement program at NYU.
I've heard that in NYU they are not too strict with high score.😕

Hi
Thats what i have heard too that they want the early applictions thats all two of the people i know who studied their told me that all they care about is money, but both of them graduated 2 years a go so i hope the things r still the same there
Best of luck .

I know, I get said that alllll the time too:
"Oh, private schools just want their money. As long as you can pay them, they don't care".

But I think, if private schools (like NYU) only cared about getting their money, everyone will get in, 'cause eventually everyone will get at least a loan!!!

So yes, they care about their money, but they know you'll eventually come up with something to pay them with. So first they must look at somthing else.

Delfina, go ahead and apply, 75 bucks is worth the try!

Luck!!!

Dear Meggs

Its not all that easy to get the loan too u either have to be a gc or citizenship to get the loans and any of the foreign graduates who dont have that status would not be eligible for anytype of loans.
And then if u dont have that status then someone of that status have to sign as ur sponsor in case u run away they r going to catch that person.

Its not only the matter of getting in but also of big financial problem too.

Oh yes, I know that. What I meant to say is that most of the candidates have at least planned a way to get the money.

This is off-topic, sorry.

Delfina check your PM please.

PM=private messages.

Hi Meggs,
It is very nice of you giving good advices.I really appreciated that.
I want to apply to NYU also and my part 1 was 81%,toefl 247, my gpa about 2.69.
I call them this morning and the lady on the phone told me that i need to apply as soon as possible.
what do you think my chances could be.
Also, I read that you know a place in NY where someone can get all the materials for part2 .Do you mind telling me where?

Thanks again.

Could you tell me a place in NY where i can get all the materials for NDB2.

You can get all the material at copy com store which is located on the 23rd street (not sure if it is on the 23rd and 1st avenue or 23rd and 2nd avenue). It is very close to NYU School of Dentistry.

It's only a couple blocks away for the subway station on 23rd. You should just go ahead and visit the place, don't bother calling 'cause the owners are Arabs and have an extremely strong accent, which I, at least, had a very hard time understanding when I was there.

Hope this helps!

This is that kind of joke where you need to know the language in order to understand it. I'm still thinking about a way to translate it, 'cause is hard to do it without loosing its sense. I'll let you know.....😀

hi meggs

Sorry, haven't taken part 2 yet, not even started studying. But when I do I'll probably limit myself to decks and released test. I've learned from my part 1 experience, wasted time in Kaplan.

preservative meaning condom. 😉 in Spanish it rhymes.....

yet you probably don't find it funny, 'cause you must know the various and extremely difficult conjugations if Spanish to find the rhyme in it...😉

Hi Delfina,
Maybe you know, do i need Kaplan books or they waste of money?

It depends on how much u are familiar with ur basics, and also how much time u really have. kaplan book takes a lot of time to read. maybe u cud use it as a reference. but to get the original book u need to enroll in the kaplan course which is very expensive. U can try to get a used book or u can try at copycomp store they have prints. and it is not that expensive. maybe u can take a look at the book and decide for urself.

Hi ali99,

I have not taken the part 2, but from my friends experiences, I know that kaplan is not as useful as it was for part 1. Normally the decks and the Q-papers should be fine and for pharamacology u cud read lippincott text. and also there is a book by Jack E.Wells, which covers all the subjects for part 2, which is supposed to be concise and good. maybe u shud check it out before u buy it.

Regarding the part 2 material - Q-papers,

maybe u shud buy the original coz in the copies the pictures are not that clear. maybe u shud check it out before u actually buy them.

Istme!

Maybe you know where can i buy Q-paper

In the sticky thread Sample Resume, Henna has posted the link to where you can buy the reprints.
