I worked as a waiter for 4 years in my undergrad prior to having become a nurse (currently have been a registered nurse for 4 years and was a CNA for 1 year prior to that), so the last time I worked in a restaurant was ~2014. I personally had a lot of good customer service experience and could speak well of it, but it would probably not be as relevant as my nursing experience (I don't think).

Are you supposed to list the last 7 years or so of your work experience? To keep the restaurant on there, or no?

If there is room (you can do I think up to 15 entries?), then there is no reason not to

I did, and I was a daycare worker a long time ago. Not everything in you app has to be about medicine.

Just to add to this: medical schools are often impressed when they see applicants have worked a real job— not a resume job, but a REAL job, where you’re there to make $$ because you need it. Especially in food service, that’s something that’ll impress some readers because they’ll know you had to serve a lot of people, some of whom can be difficult (not unlike a physician!)

I even had an interviewer straight up ask me: “have you ever had a real job?”

I'm going to put clinical jobs in one section and nonclinical jobs in another section.

The portion I bolded makes this experience relevant to your med school application. List it.
