Just wondering. Sent my primaries out a little while ago but I didn't send my resume. I filled out the section with all my work / activities but I had written a nice looking resume. Should I bother sending it?

Wow these forums are filled with such an incredible amount of belligerent posters. If you aren't going to help why say anything? Instead you take the time you could have helped to leave a comment like that . . . Im just trying to make sure I do everything I can . . . like most people here.

Looking online there are so many resources to aid in resume writing and that is how I always figured the application was. The AMCAS primary didn't mention it as far as I saw.

I wasn't being hostile... But now I will. Where did it say anything about submitting a resume? Where/how would you send it? Why would they have you fill out the activities section if they also wanted a resume?

Okay sorry, that's enough...but you did get your answer, didn't you?

Why would you need to send a resume when the application has everything you need (contact info, name, prior experiences etc.)?

BTW please don't bring a resume to interviews either; it makes no sense.

I was not sure which is why I was asking. I figured maybe you could send it to AMCAS just like the transcripts / LOR's.

As I said I just wanted to make sure I was doing everything I could. Sorry for getting upset but I found that answer rather frustrating.

Anyway now im sure so thanks to both of you.

no resumes

Correct 👍👍

But since I had been updating my resume since high school (pubs, etc), I just kept on updating through college.

Having a nicely formatted resume/CV at your interview can only help you.
I took some to all my med school interviews and gave my interviewer a copy... if they were interested.

Sometimes they weren't, but the ones who were interested seemed to be impressed...

Besides, it's like a party favor for your interview

Thanks guys. Yes that is why I asked. I have a nice resume that I update. Took me a while to make it and just wanted to be 100% sure that sending it was not an option.
