i'm trying to take 2 classes during the fall, microbiology (in) and biochem (wait listed). and i'm also thinking about working as a lab tech and those things usually are full time. i'm also applying to dental school this cycle. do you think that's a good idea, or should i look into getting a job that's part-time?

Have you ever worked full-time and taken a full courseload before? Personally, I would suggest a part-time position (no more than 20 hours/week) if you're a full-time student.
