No, I don't think that it matters to the admissions committee. Biomed and bio majors still take the same core sciences classes as well as the same premed classes. What matters is your GPA and MCAT scores along with any other extracurricular activities. I've been told that if the adcom's are looking at two applications, all being equal except for their majors, they look at the difficulty of the courses they took. This being said, in my opinion classes in bio and biomed majors are equally difficult because it's relative to the student's interest. I suggest that you pick the major you enjoy the most and predict that you will do the best in.
