Does a 260-270 Step 1 really give much advantage over a 240-250?

Anecdotally, the few people I know who we're scoring in the 80's and 90's on uworld scored >260, so you may not have a problem after all 😉

My first pass of full blocks on random, timed was something like 75%.. That equated to 3 practice tests between a 255-260 and a 257 on the real thing. I'm not sure that there are really many people who average 80-90% correct if it's their first test bank and they do it on random/timed. The 271 that I know finished Uworld after Kaplan and his average was a 80% on the first pass.

Second pass is a joke though. I think I was averaging like 95% on random blocks..

First pass overall % with timed random is the most accurate predictor

True. However I would say that it is more important to use Uworld as a learning tool then as a score predictor. Use NBMEs and the UWSAs for that. My Uworld scores were probably inflated by the fact that I did tutor mode by subject right after reading that section of first aid, but thats how it was the most helpful as a learning tool for me.
