I'm asking because I had several interviews and a handful of acceptances. However, one of the schools I interviewed at still hasn't issued a decision, and there are a couple of other ones that still have me as "under review" that I haven't even had contact with. Does the fact that I already have a deposit down influence my chances at these other schools, or is this truly a blind process until later in the year?

My understanding, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, is that up until April schools cannot see where their accepted students have put down deposits or if they have put down multiple deposits--so no schools should penalize you for putting down a deposit. Around the beginning of April, schools are informed of what students have put down a deposit at their school AND other schools.

dentgirl--glad to hear it. This was the impression that I had from reading previous threads, but I just wanted to be sure.
