Hi guys!
What do you guys think? I have a 3.56 GPA science and total. DAT in July. But my problem now is i don't think my professors write me a good LORs.

what do you mean a good LOR?
Are you saying they will write bad things about you? Or that they don't know you well, so they won't write good things?
If you go to a big school, I am guessing they will take it easy on you.

Nah, I'm pretty sure my profs used a standardized LOR. I only took one class with each and they barely knew me. Your GPA is very good and if you can do as well on the DAT, I think your LORs will be much less of a factor.

DAT 20+, do not worry.

DAT 18, maybe you need good letters.

as long as they dont say anything negative about you, it should be no problem. I think most professors wind up writing pretty generic letters.

I am very worried about this as well. I have a 3.9 GPA with A's in all science classes, but I am kinda quiet, and most of my preofessors don't even remember my name. I don't even really know how to ask them.

If you're shy, at least show up to every class and sit right in the front/center. With continuous good grades and visibility, they will at least notice you. It will make things easier though if you can try talking to them once in awhile, so it's not quite so awkward when you ask for a letter. If you don't ever find the opportunity to converse, you can still likely get a basic letter that will fulfill the requirements for dental admissions. Again, with high grades, a fantastic LOR isn't necessary.

i know what you mean about the stresses of LoRs.. I worked with my professor in his lab and saw him every day. We had a great relationship but he totally screwed me on my letter - he really liked me (at least i hope he did) but he sent it in soooo late.

I did not expect a problem with my letter from him but he totally ruined my first time applying. - obviously had i known he would be so nonchalant and unconcerned wiht my pursuit into dentistry i would have had someone else write it.

you never know with college professors, so in my case, he decreased my chances.

i felt like you, but i chose professors whom i took at least 2 classes with, and recent classes so they would have a slight idea about who i was. Surprisingly they remebered me. I wrote an email describing the situation to them, and why i chose them specifically to write me the letter. I spent a few minutes with each of them describing my goal and history, and they wrote the letters. Worked for me.

Ouch. Tough luck. 🙁

I had a similar experience with one of my professors as well. Although nowhere near that bad. He only procrastinated for a few weeks.
