Has anybody experienced what I was going through on Wednesday???
😱
I am 100% sure I did answer correctly to at least 90 percent of the questions in science, QR and PAT sections but when at the end I click to get my score... the time that all of us are so anxious :scared: ... and it turned out SO disappointing... everything pretty much around 17 max.... not even 18 ,19 or 20 !
Please if anybody personally experienced or heard about any error in caculations or computer error on DAT.... LET ME KNOW what to do?!
😕
I have NEVER been this disappointed over my score!!!
:meanie:

This is from the ADA's website:

Confirming Test Results

Before official Dental Admission Test score reports are distributed to dental schools, the Department of Testing Services rechecks all answers to items in order to confirm the accuracy of the scores. The Department also reviews test center reports regarding irregularities and violations of examination regulations.

I've never heard of anyone having problems with incorrectly scored exams.

Nor have I. You should probably sit back, calm down, and really try to evaluate what may have happened. We've all had tests during our undergrad years that we thought we performed well on, but ended up way below our expectations...and vice versa. You should contact the ADA if you feel your scores may be mis-respresented though.

Passion, Unfortunately, I highly doubt that the score you received was a mistake in scoring. The first time I took it, I felt similarly about the science sections and received the following scores (Bio=17, Chem=15, OChem=17). When I retook the exam in April, I was a little happer w bio and chem
(Bio=20, Chem=19, Ochem= 16). I was told this was more competitive despite that OChem drop. I also pulled my PAT up 2 pts to an 18... but last time I took the exam was 2 yrs ago. If you aren't happy, just retake it. I have 18AA/18Sci/18PAT up from 16/16/16 and I'm retaking it in July or August...not sending it out until I see the results 😛

last year one of the applicants did well and received a low dat score. he talked to them and they had to recheck every question and found the problem. his score was very high after correcting the mistake. you must call them and tell them that your score should be higher and tell them to recheck your test ASAP.

Isaa, you are the ONLY one that give me hope!
👍
I will contact them the first thing on Monday morning :luck:
I also did mention it at the end on my evaluation... 🙄

I have to see what happen... I am SO DISAPPOINTED that even doesn't want to look at these books... 😡

Did you hear what you said directly from the person or indirectly? How long ago?
I am really sure something is wrong... :luck:

Thanks again! 🙂

its a good idea to check your test if you feel your score does not reflect how you did but i doubt there would be a scoring error

mmm, i wouldn't go about it that way....

call them and tell them that your score SHOULD be higher? are you serious? if this is how you go about you, i can almost promise you that you will NOT be their top priority.

my advice, call and be POLITE. explain that you thought you did much better and would like your exam to be looked over. this is all you can do...

good luck..i hope it works out 🙂
