Does anyone else have SDN open all day while they're at work?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
haha yes. every single day that i'm at work this window is open. It's kinda sad. Well, more than kinda. It's really really sad. I just keep it in my head that at least i only have this job for six more months. it's not that i don't like this job, it's just that i'll be more prepared to give up such internet addictions when i'm not at a desk all day.

Right? I keep telling myself that I only have 6 more months of this monotony. Everyone's really cool about me leaving for interviews but still, accounting is not someting I want to be doing for the rest of my life...other than doing my taxes once a year.

+1. I have it saved on my iphone so when im running errands for work, i can still have sdn open

I don't have a computer at home but I do have my trusty Palm Centro, SDN looks about the same on a teeny tiny screen.

I swear the first thing I do after I open my work email is get on SDN. Thank God for tabbed browsing, it lets me switch to work stuff in a jiff!

👍 And I just enjoyed reading your mdapps. Liked the puppet master image.

I peruse SDN on my iphone on public transportation or taxis. Although sometimes I do get a little queasy looking at that little screen while moving....

me too! I'm so freakin' bored at work!! I'm also counting down the months until school...also on my other tabs are: gmail, myspace, facebook. okay TMI, lol

jeez! I hope it gets better once you are in med school 😕 :scared:

Phoenix: Thanks! I got waitlisted so apparently I didn't dance hard enough.

but no matter, I'm still here at work perusing SDN. And no, I do not have a life.

Let's see, I browse SDN with my morning "joe" before rounding with my team at 6:30AM. I browse SDN on the OR computer between cases after dictating and I browse SDN before I hit the rack at night. The RSS feeds are a good thing because I can catch threads as they come up on my office computer too. Great way to burn up some time while waiting.

I have SDN open when I hold review sessions and office hours.

Yes, the sdn window is almost always open while I'm at work...along with Facebook...it's a bit distracting. I've already fallen into "biding my time" before med school starts in August. 😀

thanks SDN for getting me addicted and contributing to my senioritis

it definitely keeps me from getting bored at work!

I always have a browser open with the following tabs:

AOLRadio
Meebo.com (in browser chat application)
SDN

I still get plenty of work done! I swear....

There was one day when I was so bored that I started drawing in MS Paint. Thank you, SDN, for giving me a way to look busy when I have nothing to do! I'm at the point where I regularly check the Allopathic forum and occasionally peruse the Mayo thread, even though Mayo rejected me months ago. *SIGH* It would have been my top choice. . .

SDN was just down for about 5 minutes. I kept feverishly hitting the refresh button. You know how you don't realize you're addicted to something until it's taken away?

I *also* realized that I haven't done any actual work all day. Oops.

ditto.

sometimes, i get so into reading stuff on SDN that i almost forget about meetings. oops.

Oh, AND I spent the time that SDN was down making myself an MDapps profile.
