Apparently the school thinks continuous classes from January until July (our Summer is also cut in half) is a good idea. I'm still trying to figure out what is filling this time since we there is a set amount of info we need to learn. They initially promised a couple of 3 day weekends but that never happened either. I heard some other schools had done this but is it really commonplace?

Is it safe to dox myself here? I will say its one of the largest and oldest DO schools in the country. Everyone else is relaxing restrictions and things here are getting tougher.

We never had a spring break in previous years so didn’t expect one this year of course. I also didn’t have one in grad school either. I thought it was normal to not have “spring break” in professional school. We do get Good Friday off though.

Lol don’t get me wrong I think it would be valuable because spring semester really drains people without breaks lmao. But no one actually asks the students what they want lol.

Would hurt less if the week was added to summer but that got sliced in half instead also.

Our spring break was removed and we were given two 3 day weekends on either end of what would have been spring break week.

You got spring breaks? We got, like, two weeks off in winter in first and second year, two months between first and second year, six weeks between second and third, and then nothing ever again

The 2 months off is almost gone too. I dont think they know what will be done for second and third year.

They thought about canceling it but didn’t, super glad cause neuro is killing me

My school normally has spring break but with where dedicated is ( Mid may-June) , we don't get a break between 2nd and 3rd years. We get vacation blocks 4th year though. We don't get spring break this year, but our last week is first week of June.
