Does anyone else think that PCOM and UMDNJ are too close?

i dont know if it really means much, but i looked on google maps and both PCOM and UMDNJ are located in the same metropolitan area (philly).. PCOM is in the PA suburbs and UMDNJ is located in the jersey suburbs.. more or less in the same city.. does this sort of thing bring forth any type of conflict or competitiveness in terms of rotations or residencies between the schools? are these schools rivals by any means?

on a side note, i'd be kinda cool if they had an osteopathic city rivalry game, like the "PHILLY BOWL" between squads from PCOM and UMDNJ (like villanova vs st joes in basketball, loser treats winner to cheesesteaks

PCOM is actually in philly. The schools are very seperate from each other. The area has a ton of hospitals and PCOM has different affiliates than Jersey. They also have different residency programs. If there was competition it would be with the extreme number of medical schools in the area (in theory 7 schools)
