Also, would going to howard limit your opportunities in the future? ie opening your own practice in hollywood or working for a dental coporation in the area?

Going to Howard does limit your opportunities. Its what you get out from the 4 years of education. End of the day, you are a dentist, no matter where you graduated from.

I don't understand the first question.

I assume you mean does not. I've noticed 9 out of every 10 dentists in the well-off california areas are USC graduates. I'm just wondering how a degree from howard would affect your abilities to pull patients in mostly affluent neighborhoods.

As for the first question, does being qualified for the fee assistance program for AADSAS mean youre disadvantaged (assuming the parents income you inserted was at this level for the past 10+ years and it wasnt just a recent misfortune) or just poor.

As far as i can tell your success as a dentist hinges on your skill level, business skills, and customer service skills. If you lack any of those three your at a disadvantage. Dentistry is a business just like any other. When was the last time you saw someone ask a dentist where he graduated from anyway? I mean aside from on here? Most people really dont care.... Just think about what YOU like in your dentist... Be that way and you should do fine. On a funny note the dentist i did my shadowing with was well off and went to USC:laugh:
