Does being invited to fill out a Supplemental Application mean that you have a good chance of getting an interview?

UT's secondary app dosent include any addtional essays, it just asked for ssn, D.O.B., emergency contacts, etc. Kinda like a job app.

Yeah, i think you are most likely to be invited for an interview. Good luck!

The best thing to do is check stats from previous years to see how many of supp applicants receive interview invites.

For my school, there were approx 2000 pharmcas apps, 800 supp apps, and only 300-350ish interviewees...for 130 seats for the class.

So it all depends per school.

Good luck.

not necessarily, depends which school.

Some schools with send you a supplemental if you have a pulse. Others will send you one if you meet the minimum GPA (ie. Midwestern CCP). Others still will only send you a supplemental after an initial review is positive (ie. Touro California). And in other schools, the supplemental is turned in WITH or even BEFORE the pharmcas application gets to them (ie. USC, UCSD, UCSF, Western)...becoming a de facto primary application.

Is that the case with the University of TN, read #3, this quote comes directly from their website.

The following are the steps in the UT College of Pharmacy application process:
  1. Apply online via PharmCAS (www.pharmcas.org) and designate that the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy receive your application.
  2. Register for the Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) at www.pcatweb.info and have your score sent to PharmCAS (Code 104). The PCAT is administered four times per academic year (June, August, October, and January). UT recommends that students take the test early in the admissions cycle (June, August, or October) so they have the opportunity to retake the exam.
  3. After an application has been reviewed, the stronger candidates will be contacted to complete the Supplemental Application online.

Or it could mean they just want all those supplemental application fees.

U of TN sounds like they will review your application first, determine if you are a strong candidate, then send you a supplemental application. Sounds like their review process starts with the initial application.
