Im currently using TBR and it seems like the bio books are packed with too much information. Do I need to know everything in there? I haven't taken Bio since junior year of high school so Im not sure what's important for MCAT Bio

I feel like book 2 has a bit too much detail (cells, gene replication ect.) so I'm only reading book 1 because it has the main systems and reading the rest of the material from examkrackers. But others on this board have said Examkrackers is good enough but I guess it's what you feel most comfortable with.

TBR bio had way too much background for me, but I was a bio major in college so I was able to use EK and not suffer too much from the areas that they don't treat super well (genetics etc.). If you haven't taken bio since high school you will need to be a little more proactive on making sure you understand everything that will be on the MCAT as outlined somewhere like EK, but yes, TBR has a bunch of extraneous stuff in it.
