Does Computational Biology count towards your sGPA?

I'm planning on adding a computational biology minor to have a backup plan in case med school doesn't work out. The computational biology minor is offered through my university's college of biological sciences. Would it still count towards my sGPA? I do want to increase my sGPA because it seems pretty low.
