I work at Walgreens where we can split bill/COB manufacturer savings cards on top of a person's primary insurance.

The reason I am asking is b/c my brother takes Daytrana and CVS in the area was the only place that had it in stock. When my mom gave CVS her Daytrana savings card, CVS said they could only bill her insurance or the savings card, not both.

Is this true for all CVS's? If so, it seems like it is a way to lose business. We do it at Walgreens all the time and it saves patients ALOT of money. Just wanted to know if anyone had an explanation. Not hating on CVS haha

No. Either the "coupon" was a generic discount card, or they dealt with someone who didn't know what they were doing.

Yes. We apply if it is Daytrana manufacturer coupon.
But if it is just regular Rx discount card, no.. no discount on control meds.
