Hi!

I notice that some schools list "inorganic chemistry" as one of their pre-reqs. Is this generally the same as general chemistry? My school only has inorganic chem at the second year level, but it isn't accompanied by a lab (which is required my most schools).

Hence, I just want to know if the general and inorganic courses are equivalent, especially for Pacific University since they don't have an email contact.

Thanks!

For my school (UCSD), they are the same thing

Yes it is the same. General chemistry = inorganic chemistry and thats all that schools as for.
At my school there is also a 3 credit class named "inorganic chemistry" that is for senior chemistry majors (400 level class) don't get confused with this one.

Inorganic means general chemistry in most cases. Some list inorganic as physical chemistry though.
