if I'm in terested in derm, ortho or cardiac surgery, where should I go?

thanks•••••Hi there,
Your school is not going to get you into any residency program, your performance in school and on USMLE along with your application skills will get you into a residency program.

If you are not in medical school, you can't possibly know what residency you are "interested" in. After you complete third year, you may find that the last thing you want to do is any kind of surgery. Good luck

BTW, "cardiac surgery" ( or more commonly Cardiothoracic Surgery) is a fellowship completed after a General Surgery residency. The residency in which you do your GS training is much more important in the selection of you as a fellow than your medical school.
