I find your posts fascinating. Most people who boast about their intelligence normally have some sort of accomplishments to back up their claims. "I'm really smart, that's why I did an NIH fellowship last year" - that kind of thing. You, on the other hand, trot out a decidedly average GPA & MCAT, mention interviewing at a mid-to-low tier state med school, then go on to tell us how smart you are.

I'm curious. What exactly constitutes being smart?

Your mistake. Plenty of people work that many hours a week and still manage to prepare for the test, myself included.

Best advice I can give anyone applying to med school above all else is to apply EARLY. You will hear from various sources that it doesn't make a huge difference, but it will literally make or break you. Give yourself the best possible chance and get the apps in June or July!

Firstly, do not mind this thread if you are not a fat one. I only desire to seek counsil with those that are. Firstly, it is not a question that you need to know about. Secondly also you must not wonder too much because it is private and I nor anyone else needs to have that burden on their shoulders. We are obese and must not strain ourselves with this burden of truth.

Secondly of the first one. just remember to regard us in high esteem even though obese. We must have courage to not stumble and break bones on steps of liberty for med school. Fat ones cal also be doctors that can heal people. Nobody should stop us from healing. Healing is good according to all civilized countries. So why should fat ones not be able to heal also? This is discrimination against them and we must protest to the first person we see and or know about this. If many know of injustice few will not know. If few not know than only few will not take a stand against it which leaves the majority to know and stake a stand in our honor and human rights.

I interviewed at SIU not too long ago. The people there were all pretty nice. The location (springfield) isnt great, but at carbondale first year I am going to **** the brains out of like 15 women sluts at the party SIU school.

Ill be traveling to another interview like a week from now, and I was thinking about dropping the Mbomb on some random bar chicks and inviting them back to my hotel room the night before I interview. I think it would be a great confidence booster for my interview, and in addition would help me work on my people skills in general.

I'm guessing you gave the adcoms the heebie jeebies if you come off as meglomaniacal in your applciation materials

and to answer your initial question (the one in the thread title anyway), yes mcat and gpa do count more than any other factor. Just check out http://www.mdapplicants.com . You must be a piece of work.
