if you're interested in ophtho, contact your school's ophtho program's residency director (if your school has an optho dept.). he/she should know what kinds of scores programs are looking at. and if you're really interested in teh field, you should apply anyway. i've heard that some people apply to more than one residency type...how sound is this? i knew someone who applied to FP, Ob/gyn, AND gen surgery! she ended up doing family, though

You still have a good shot, just get some honors in your clinical years and make some connections.
