I was just wondering if NYU actually sends rejection emails/letters. For some reason it seems that there are only 1) people who have been accepted and 2) people who are still waiting to hear back from them. Haha, obviously I'm in the second boat since I'm making this post. My file has been complete since the beginning of August, but I still have yet to hear a decision from them. They just keep telling me that my file is complete. Bastards 😡 😀

Does NYU only notify those people who they accept and leave rejects in the dark forever? 🙄 Thanks for any help ya'll can give 🙂

Hahaha, I just did a search and found some recent similar posts. My bad. But if anyone has any further info it'd be appreciated. From what I gather, NYU basically just leaves people hanging.

Heh. I'm waiting on a reply from them too. I don't think they'll be handing out rejections until they have their class filled. But hey, better to not hear anything than get a rejection in the mail. That's how I see it.

In your signature, you said you're going to Maryland. Why even bother with NYU now?

so, do they send out rejection notices or not? my file has been complete since november... =(

All schools send out rejection letters. Some schools wait until their class is full before sending them out. I don't think anyone here has received a rejection from NYU yet.

sorry to hijack your thread but I would check up on the file. I was told my file was completed a long time ago but just found out that they were missing my updated transcript (i'm a reapplicant so didn't have to go through aadsas). It was sent USPS express but it seems that it has been misplaced somewhere down the line. Can't really blame anyone but its extremely frustrating..................

Jaerob, i don't even see why you would be rejected in the first place. With your stats, you should've been accepted in the December 1st batch without interview. Do you have terrible extracurriculars or something?

Didn't feel like starting a new thread so I looked for the most relevant thread based on NYU, so I apologize to the OP.

If NYU states that I should be waiting on word via snail mail, post-interview, is that a bad sign? Seems like the majority of the people here received their post-interview acceptances via email. Anyone receive NYU acceptances via the postman rather than email? Thanks.

Infnite-

Yeah, who knows what's going on. A lot of the dental admissions stuff seems a bit random, haha.. But to answer your Q, I don't think my EC's are terrible. They aren't spectacular, but I do have the usual shadowing, clubs, community service, etc. I'd say they're average.
