my scores are 19+ with my highest in RC 23 and OC 23 , lowest in QR 14 but still..i'm sure there are many people who got interviews with lower stats.. i was considered complete early september..

what gives? anyone else who recently got interviews but submitted early?

looks like you should get an interview with those stats. i was complete the end of august. i don't think they have cutoffs, i got a 16 in qr. hopefully you'll hear from them within the next month. good luck!

most schools have a section cut off of 15. You could call admissions to ask or check the school website. For 300K, I'm thinking the school wants the tuition money more than a score cutoff.

I talked with one guy that spent a lot of time there, and he said that their cut off is 18. According to him if you have a 17 or lower in any section then your chances are slim. I honestly don't know if I should believe him I think the adcom committee just told him that because he kept bugging them and he had a 17 in something =). Good luck anyway.

I have a 17 RC and got a pretty early interview (sept 25) and my app was only complete there on Sept 5th and I got my invite on Sept 11. I truly believe its not all a numbers game. They look at the whole application and see how the applicant meshes with there schools attitude and mission. ECs, LOR, and PS all play a role.

My hygienist told me that it's like LOTTO for NYU...hehe that's why you get this randomness response! So I'm thinking maybe we should play BINGO with them or something 👍

I guess NYU can be rather random. I submitted my AADSAS in late May, took DAT in august, and had my LORs complete in mid Sept. But i have not heard back from this school. dat: 20. gpa: 3.4
i'm worried that it might be b/c they have a cutoff. my QR score was very low (15)

so, when I took my DAT and didn't do so well in RC I called NYU and other schools and asked about my low RC. NYU told me that they have no cutoffs for individual scores and when my application was complete I talked to one of the admission people and he said my application looks competitive. ( Check predents) I have ok stats but nothing that extraordinary. However, I still didn't get an interview from them, but thats cause I was complete like 2.5 weeks ago. Also, check predents from last year there are plenty people with low scores who got into NYU.

I wouldn't say it was random, It is also possible, they are looking for something specific. Something in your personal statement or ECs perhaps, something that demonstrates maturity or dedication to the field... or just a positive attitude they think will mesh with their school.

All I am saying is while it may seem random to some, I am sure that they have a method to their madness 😉.

haha, i knew you'd get one. congrats. nyu is an awesome school, def keep it in mind. maybe the adcoms came onto the forums and was like...who's this mr. bubbles. nyu doesn't have aadsas updates.

good god, with stats like those, i think every school would think ur too non-human to be a dentist. lol. jk. well it looks like u submitted 0ct 24.. and it schools up to 4 weeks to really review ur application... ur still in the review process but i wouldn't worry with those scores, ur probably just gonna be in the 2nd wave of interviews that's for sure..

anyway i think what worked was me bashing them on this thread lol..not to give ideas lol jk..
