Does one need to do a fellowship to get a job in an urban city?

Hi,

With the increasing clout of the CRNAs, I was wondering if anesthesiologists in the future will need to do a fellowship to further distinguish themselves.

I'm fairly ignorant on the job front. If one was to specialize in Anesthesiology and really wanted to practice in a large urban city on the coasts due to family reasons, would he/she need to do a fellowship to get a job?

I wouldn't say required, but bringing more skills to the table will always help open doors in tight markets, particularly if you are right out of training with limited experience, or have limited contacts.
