Hey everybody,
So, I was wondering..... does rigor of the post-bacc matter all that much to adcoms? For example, if you were just raising your sGPA from 2.7 to 3.0 or 3.5 to 3.8 and took "easy" sciences classes to do so just to get to a certain number would adcoms see that and not look too favorable at it? As in just doing it to get a certain threshold to be more competitive or meet a certain number requirement to be considered at a school? Do you always need to take upper level, challenging, and "hard science" classes in a post-bacc and not just try to raise your cGPA and sGPA an easy way? Thank you so much for your advice and insight..... it is greatly appreciated!!!!!

In taking a post-bac, you want to take rigorous courses to show that the you of now is not the you of then, and also to prove to yourself that you can do this.

So really, don't take botany or ecology. Take stuff that mimics a med school curriculum.

I didn't realize botany and ecology was "easier" than premed aligned things.
