Hi all,

I am a fifth year undergraduate student and I have been accepted for a scribe position in a hospital with a busy ER department. I have the opportunity to transfer to another hospital with relatively more relaxed ER department. The busy ER dept hospital will definitely give me well-rounded experience, but it was also far from my house, however, the one the relaxed hospital is closer to my house, but I doubt I would get as good exposure as the other hospital. I was confused if I should make the switch to a more closer and relaxed ER hospital from a far and busy ER hospital? I will be scribing in either places, but is the enriching experience worth driving far while juggling school and other extracurricular?

Thank you for your inputs!

What are you trying to accomplish?
Do you just need to earn a wage? Go for the closer one.
Want exciting things to talk about in your application/interview? Busy ER dept
Have many commitments already and don't want to commit too much time and/or burn out? slower ER dept
etc...
