Does Step 1 score still matter?

I'm probably nuking this... But I'm gonna ask anyways.

If I have a high Step 1 score, will that still benefit applying to Opthalmology?
Or are programs not even looking at Step 1 scores starting next year?

In other words will programs not even look at Step 1 going forward or will they always consider it as long as you have the score on your application?

I think it will matter less than your step 2 score. But the majority will have a scored step 1 next cycle so it’s still gonna matter
