So recently I got a new job where I am doing health screening and health coaching. During the screening portions we meet with various clients and take body comp measurements (height/weight/Body fat/waist circumference/BMI/ect.), blood pressure (manual and automatic), and finger prick for a small blood sample.

During the review and coaching is when we sit down with the individuals and go over there results such as reviewing their glucose levels, HDL/LDL ranges, triglycerides, Blood pressure, body comp and inform them of their overall health and advise them of ways they can help shift into the normal ranges for these readings through diet and exercise. We also answer any questions they have and periodically will write referrals to their physician if there are any abnormal readings.

So..My question is does this count as clinical work even if it's not in a hospital setting? My team and I go to various companies that hire us and perform these basic screenings/coaching to help motivate and teach their staff on how to live a healthier lifestyle. To me I would count it since I believe it's hands on and medically related but I was curious to hear others opinions, thanks!

It might be medically-related, and it seems like a great experience, but you are serving employees, not patients. It sounds like the majority of those you screen are a normal population.
-Are you working with a nurse or physician on the team?
-What percent of the time do you find a problem that requires a physician referral?
-What are your credentials for providing coaching for a healthier lifestyle?
-Under whose license are you taking BPs?

So there are nurses that work with my team and occasionally a physician will join depending on the working event. My personal credentials are from my Bachelors degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Professional Health. As for how often we find individuals that require physician referral just depends on the work day and who we are screening. For example, when we screen waste management employees we will have individuals that need a referral more frequently then those at another company.
