Sure why not. My anthropology professor wrote one of my science LOR. FYI he teaches neuroanatomy at the med school and is on the Pre-professionals committee and I submitted two LORs from science professors. If she teaches science I don;t see why not.

FYI research methods can be considered a stat course or a psych course. If its stat then its a math. If its a psych thats under bio. Either way its a BCPM. I listed my research methods as a bio course.

Hi,

Does a letter from my Research Methods professor count as a science LOR? The course she taught me was listed under 'UGS' or Undergraduate Studies but she teaches science courses in biology, ecology, and geosciences. She is a scientist and the class was only for science students accepted into a research program.

The course doesn't count as a science course (BCPM) so I am a little iffy. How do I know what counts and what doesn't? Does the professor have to have taught you a strict BCMP science course?

Also we did science in that course. Statistics, and actual experiments.
