I graduate this January but have yet to take physics and for most schools precalc is a pre-req for physics. Due to scheduling reasons is it okay that I take a precalc at a CC this Spring and then take Physics at a 4-year school? I do not plan on applying to any schools with a math pre-req so is this acceptable?

Yes this is fine, and most schools don't require math.

Does anyone know?

its fine but I would take pre-calc in a 4 year school in order to guarantee myself admissions to schools that might require it.

Which schools? Because I already have a 2 year Degree from a CC so I won't be applying to schools that accept no CC credits anyway.

I actually did some research and I can save a lot of time if I just take my Physics sequence at the CC (No pre-reqs). I have every other pre-req from my 4-year university. Will this even look bad considering Physics is not on the DAT?

some schools accept very little CC credits and others accept no CC credit, google each school and read their requirements.

for pre-calc, go to Cuny Schedule of Classes and find the schools that offer it and see if the time works for you.

physics is a pre-req for most schools, so a school that doesnt accept CC credits will not take your physics credits.

But from my understanding, BU and Tufts are really the only schools that don't accept CC credits. I live in NY so my number one pick is NYU which I have heard people did all their pre reqs at a CC and got in. You think I will really have a problem if I just do Physics at a CC? (Which will save me time and free up my schedule for some more shadowing, volunterring, etc?)

i dont know contact the school or see their website, i would look at all the schools I would apply to, to make sure i dont run into a problem.

CC credits always look worse, because everyone knows that CC classes tend to be a lot easier.

Yes, I understand that but I am not taking it for easiness but rather for scheduling and to save time not having to take an unnecessary math pre-req. I have a B.S. so i'm not trying to take the easy way out at a CC.

dont explain it to me, the adcoms will be suspicious. just try to take all your prereqs at a 4 yr school, thats all, its ur choice though.

I will just suck it up and do that then, not worth being looked on negatively by them for 2 classes.
