So I've run into failure this cycle, and every person and school I spoke with said my issue was a late application. I recently contacted another school to meet with an ADCOM member who said he'd be happy to meet with me, but told me to contact him in may about it. Am I annoying if I email him on may first?

Just do it instead of worrying about being labeled. It shows initiative, sometimes the "annoying" people are the ones who are "annoying" (dedicated) enough to get things done.

But I'm sure he'll be nice and help you out if he said he would. Emailing on the first is fine. Just don't do it at midnight.

If you have to ask whether or not something makes you annoying, it does. Period.

That said, I would think nothing of it unless you had come off over-the-top before. I think you're overthinking things, but if you're like that in general, maybe you need to calm down a bit and take a chill pill before you start cold-calling AdCom members and asking to meet with them.

Of course, he probably doesn't even remember you at this point and his only "memory" of you will be whatever notes he made to himself in your file or elsewhere.

He asked you to contact him in May, if you contact him in May then if he finds that annoying it is not your problem. Now if you contact him 5 times on May 1st, then he may have a good case.
