Is it true that med schools give out as many acceptances as seats by March 29th? I know it is a rule in AMCAS, but do you really think they do?

I bet in an normal year most do. I think that even this year, many have. I talked to MCW and actually cancelled my interview there (would've been tomorrow) because they told me their class is filled and they are now only interviewing for wait list spots. So yeah, I think it happens.
