I’ve noticed that some medical schools such as Cornell and Harvard say that they want writing intensive courses in Social Sciences or Humanities. I am currently taking a writing intensive course (as considered by my Degree’s requirements) about Drug use in American culture. In the class, we cover many topics in the social sciences such as culture, group behavior, stigmatization, and such. However, the course is taught under the College of Pharmacy because it has to do with drug use. Would this still fulfill the Social Sciences writing intensive requirements as required by these schools? Thank you for your time!
Your best bet is probably to contact the schools directly for this question.

Is it true that they don't consider these requirements until after the interview season and after the acceptance when appeals such as sending them a syllabus for the class can be possible? @Mr.Smile12 @TheBoneDoctah
When I reviewed and screened files, prerequisite checks were included at that stage for interview consideration.

Hard to say, but if your school qualifies it as writing intensive, there is a chance it fulfills the requirements. I would contact the schools you plan to apply to to find out if it applies.
