Does withdraw and Pass/fail affect my chances

I think I will get a B in social psychology class..(yes, very hard exams). I really don't want to have a B in Gened, so I'm thinking about withdraw this class. What do you guys think? Should I do pass/fail or withdraw?

I don't think a B is that big of deal, but between the only two options you gave I'd go pass/fail.

I would recommend against Withdrawing/getting a W. A B is not a problem. I have not been asked about any of the Bs on my transcript, but I have been asked about a W at 4 interviews even though it was from a semester 10 years ago (I'm nontrad). P/F is probably okay. I took two classes P/F and have never been asked about them.

Getting a B is not the end of the world. Press on! Don't psych yourself out. Think about it....

Fix what you can, learn from your mistakes, and move on!

As others have said, one B will not kill your GPA...if it is in fact an exception and not a common occurrence. Going pass/fail may be OK since it's not a required course for most med schools. Withdrawals are a gamble. Admissions officers aren't stupid, and this isn't their first rodeo. They know what a withdrawal means, as does everyone else.
