Hey, so some of my secondaries asked me for SAT and ACT scores. Do you think those really made a difference in your app? I took them so long ago I had to actually search my files for my scores. I forgot which schools asked me for these scores. What are your thoughts on this?

I imagine if they ask for them, they use them in some way. Only one of my schools asked, and I, too, have forgotten which one.

Indiana and Wayne State asked me for these scores at my interview.

WashU also asks for SAT and class rank in high school (what the ???).

UNC asked for my SAT scores.

I think they're just trying to gauge how well you do on standardized tests as a whole.

I think Jefferson also asked SAT...can't remember...

U of Chicago asked for ACT and SAT scores

Medical schools want to see how students perform on standardized tests. They don't want to waste time on students who aren't going to pass the USMLE. The ACT/SAT just give them more information on which to draw on in addition to the MCAT.

Ok, what about a student who came to USA from the foreign college, got a green card , and studies here as a transfer student?

Do u think i will have a problem with my secondaries?

U chicago and jefferson asked....I didn't do very well on my SATs and I didn't get an interview from Jefferson (or the courtesy of a rejection)

Duke asks for GRE, ACT and SAT scores

Taty: don't worry if you don't have that information. Duke asked for all that crap, which sent me into a bit of a panic. Since it had been SOOOOOOOOO long since high school and I had couldn't remember the numbers, I called up the admissions office and asked if I could leave those questions blank. They said that was fine (and since I ended up at Duke, I can surmise that it was!)
