Does your school ask you to send in a copy of your score report..with breakdown?

My school emailed me and said "We see that you took the Step 2. Please fax in your score report today"

I thought this to be unusual. My score was sent to my school (I didn't request anything to be withheld from them). I'm not sure why they need to see my "breakdown" when that is clearly NOT for 3rd parties. If the score report specifically state they don't share that information with anyone, why should I be required to do so by my school?

(I feel this is something out of principle; I don't care if they see my breakdown, but why should I have to provide them with information they shouldn't have anyways)

My school asked me for it. I think it was to prove that I passed, but I'm not entirely sure. I didn't mind either way.

It might also be that if they collect everyone in your class and there are trends (such as you all bombed Gyn) then they know what to change their teaching on and what is working. Maybe not, just a thought 😕
