There is no "school pays for your Qbank" they just add it to your tuition. I would rather keep my money and choose myself which Qbank i want. I personally disagree with it, schools should be recommending what do study, not forcing you to pay for it and then shoving it down your throat.

Yes, we are given a 6 month UWorld STEP 1 subscription in the spring of second year and a year long UWorld STEP 2 subscription for our clinical rotations. We're not getting it for free. It's part of the test & fees portion of our tuition bill. Although I wonder if there is any sort of volume discount when an institution decides to buy 150 subscriptions.

Our school insists on using kaplan, even though it hasn't improved the board scores here in quite some time.

Wish they'd include uworld as part of our tuition instead.

They're probably getting about a 15% discount according to the paperwork we just got about it. Our school isn't mandatorily buying us UWorld subscriptions, but they are making the volume discount available (which we can get if minimum of 50 of us sign up. Apparently the discount starts off at 5% and goes up to 15%). They're also giving us information/offers on other group subscription deals (Kaplan, etc.) so we'll have a choice, but it does require getting a critical mass of classmates to sign up for the same qbank(s).

I've gathered that UWorld is a must for a question bank, but it seems most people use this and recommend this during dedicated study time. What is the best Qbank for the months before dedicated study time?
