Doing a large percentage of ECs during the summer?

I've never really seen this talked about, so I was curious as to whether there is something "wrong" with it. I was considering doing all of my shadowing (~70 hours) in one summer. Is this seen negatively? It would just be a lot easier for me to not have to get it in during the hectic school year.

Shadowing will not be an issue.

It is strongly advised to not do this with volunteering, otherwise you will be perceived as a "box-checker."

Only shadowing over the summer is fine. Other ECs, you want to make sure you have sustained involvement.

Paid work would definitely be fine as well.
