doing core rotations at an affiliated residency program?

So I have to list my top 3 choices for clinical rotations for my 3rd year and one of the sites is part of a huge network all over the state. The thing is that this hospital even though it doesnt have an EM residency program, is a sister hospital or a branch of a huge network. So if I were to do my 3rd year at this facility (but ofcourse do an elective at the actual EM residency hospital) would that increase my chances or look good on my app for residency?
