doing questions first on PS?

I am wondering what strategies people are using on the Physical Science section on practice tests. Do you guys usually read the passage first or jump right to the questions? I notice that alot of the questions do not require you to look through the passage, and most of these questions are calculation based--so reading the passage is not really necessary. As for the passage based one, i guess it's obvious that you need to read the passage, but I feel that you can jump to the passage when it comes up in the question. What do you think? Read passage first or do questions first? and mind you, this is just for the physical sciences section.

dude, just read the passage first.......you have to understand the passage for a lot of the passage-based question. Sometimes it's just to get an understanding of what they were trying to accomplish or what the main idea is.

They put the passage there for a reason.

Read the passage first, at least so you know what's in there. Otherwise you will end up struggling to remember some bogus equation and then three precious minutes later realizing that it was given to you in the passage all along. This happened to me wayyy too many times when I got careless about reading the passage.

You will save more time reading the passage than you will waste.

Also, I have found it to be better to do the stand-alone questions first and then jump on to the passages and as everyone has saidread the passage first.... most of the questions after passages will require specific information from the passage and a very few do not (given you already know something about topic of the passage)...
